Widespread consultation
Undertaking widespread consultation with residents and other stakeholders
Our housing management team is complimented with specialist workers who undertake:
- Various forms of resident consultation to improve service delivery by conducting surveys, holding estate surgeries and meetings, establishing focus groups, conducting telephone surveys, organising competitions and fun days, monitoring complaints and compliments, holding neighbourhood surgeries
- Working with Tenant Management Organisations from newly established groups who need guidance and support to get started, to long established groups who need to train and find new members
- Holding Leaseholder Forums to deal with issues of service charges and capital improvement works
- Establishing Tenant Associations, or more commonly establishing estate/neighbourhood based groups – who are interested in specific issues, for example such as regeneration proposals or issues of crime and nuisance
- Public conferences and public meetings, where there may be hundreds of angry residents, demanding change or who are opposed to change
- Chairing and driving Steering Groups and multi-agency partnerships to implement change over the course of several years
